(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
