The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
