T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
