The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
