Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 from which you turn away. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
