The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
