Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 He made His offspring come into existence from an extract of insignificant fluid, 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 They say: 'What, when we have been destroyed in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation' Indeed, they disbelieve that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
