Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
