The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
