The unbelieving assembly of his nation, who belied the encounter of the Everlasting Life, and on whom We had bestowed ease in this life, said: 'This is but a human like yourselves; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 if you obey a human being just like yourselves, then you will surely be lost. 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ Begone, begone, with that which ye are promised! 36 This is our only life. We live and will die but we will never be brought back to life again. 37 “He is just a man who has fabricated a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.” 38 (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." 39 [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." 40 And then the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them, justly and unavoidably, and We caused them to become as the flotsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent: and so - away with those evildoing folk! 41 Then, after them, We created other generations. 42 No nation can anticipate their term, nor can they delay it. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest, 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed. 48 We gave Moses the Book so that they might be guided. 49 We made the son of Mary and his mother a miracle and settled them on a high land, quite secure and watered by a spring. 50
