No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning to mortals, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About the criminals, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
