Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
