The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ What are they questioning each other about? 1 About the great news - 2 About which they have been differing? 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 And once again: Nay, but in time they will come to understand! 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and fixed the mountains like pegs, 7 And We created you in pairs 8 and We appointed your sleep for a rest; 9 And made the night as clothing 10 and We appointed day for a livelihood. 11 and built above you seven strong firmaments, 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 so that We may bring forth thereby grain and a variety of plants, 15 and gardens dense with foliage. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 and heaven is opened, having gates, 19 and the mountains are set in motion, and become a vapour. 20 Indeed hell is lying in ambush. 21 a resort for the rebellious; 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 except boiling water and pus, 25 a meet requital [for their sins]! 26 Verily they were wont not to look for a reckoning. 27 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. 28 And everything We have recorded in a book. 29 "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
