Jinns (Al-Jinn)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say, (O Prophet), it was revealed to me that a band of jinn attentively listened to (the recitation of the Qur'an) and then (went back to their people) and said: “We have indeed heard a wonderful Qur'an" 1 Guiding to the right way, so we believe in it, and we will not set up any one with our Lord: 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 The fool among us spoke against God outrage, 4 We had in fact thought that men and jinns would never speak a lie about God, 5 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief. 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 "'And [so it happened] that we reached out towards heaven: but we found it filled with mighty guards and flames, 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allah in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 "That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty. 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 ‘And that when Allah’s bondman stood up to worship Him, the jinns had almost crowded upon him.’” 19
