Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
