The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
