Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
