(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
