Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
