Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 But the unbelievers are still full of pride and hostility. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or, are with them the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Bestower? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 (As they denied Allah's Message) they will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (who were defeated). 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes, 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 None of them was such that it did not deny the Noble Messengers, therefore My punishment became inevitable. 14
