Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
