Say thou: O Mine bondmen who believe! fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good: and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the patient shall be paid in full their hire without reckoning. 10 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am bidden to serve Allah, consecrating my devotion to Him, 11 I have been commanded to be the first to submit." 12 Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." 13 Say: 'I worship Allah and make my religion sincerely His. 14 Then worship what ye will beside Him. Say: The losers will be those who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Ah, that will be the manifest loss! 15 Above them they shall have layers of fire and beneath them layers. By this Allah puts fear into His worshipers' 'O My worshipers, fear Me' 16 And those who avoid the devils lest they should worship them and turn unto Allah in penitence, for them are glad tidings. Wherefore give thou glad tidings unto My bondmen, 17 Those who listen to the Word and then follow the best it contains, are the ones who have been guided by God, and are men of wisdom. 18 Is, then one against whom the Word of punishment justified (equal to the one who avoids evil). Will you (O Muhammad SAW) rescue him who is in the Fire? 19 As for those who fear their Lord, there await high mansions above which are built (more) high mansions, beneath which rivers flow, such is the promise of Allah; Allah will not fail His promise. 20 Have you not seen that God sends down water from the sky, guides it to form springs in the earth, and then, with it, brings forth vegetation of various colours, which later withers, turns yellow before your eyes, and then He makes it crumble away? There is truly a reminder in this for those who possess understanding. 21
