Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered, 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 Said he, 'I would never bow myself before a mortal whom Thou hast created of a clay of mud moulded.' 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 and the curse shall be on you till the Day of Judgement!" 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 “Indeed you do not have any power over My bondmen, except those wanderers who follow you.” (The devil is unsuccessful in tempting Allah’s chosen bondmen to commit sin.) 42 "And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
