Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
