The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
