The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
