The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
