The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
