Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
