The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and continuous shade, 30 Gushing water, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And raised couches. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 And made them virginal, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
