Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
