The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 you pay attention 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
