And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
