SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
