So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
