Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 "Nor used to feed the needy." 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
