Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
