Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The disbelieving People of the Book(s) and the polytheists would not have left their religion until the clear proof came to them. 1 a Messenger from God, reciting pages purified, 2 holy Book which contain eternal laws of guidance. 3 And those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence had come to them. 4 And they were commanded not but that they should worship Allah, keeping religion pure for him, as upright men, and that they should establish prayer and give the poor-rate, and that is the right religion. 5 Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. 6 But those who believe and do good deeds are the best of all creatures. 7 Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow, wherein they dwell for ever. Allah hath pleasure in them and they have pleasure in Him. This is (in store) for him who feareth his Lord. 8
