And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
