Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We will gather them and the satans, and We shall parade them hobbling on their knees in Gehenna: 68 Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. 69 then We shall know very well those most deserving to burn there. 70 And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. 71 We shall deliver those who took heed for themselves, and leave the evil-doers kneeling there. 72 And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)." 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? 74 Say: "As for him who lives in error, may the Most Gracious lengthen the span of his life! [And let them say whatever they say until the time when they behold that [doom] of which they were forewarned - whether it be suffering [in this world] or [at the coming of] the Last Hour - for then they will understand which [of the two kinds of man] was worse in station and weaker in resources! 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 Has he, perchance, attained to a realm which is beyond the reach of a created being's perception? or has he concluded a covenant with the Most Gracious? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he shall come to us alone. 80 They have taken other deities besides God, so that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
