And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night.
