Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
