۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
