The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
