Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We have placed in it gardens of dates and grapes, and We have made springs of water in it. 34 so that they may eat of the fruit thereof, though it was not their hands that made it. Will they not, then, be grateful? 35 Purity is to Him Who created all pairs, from what the earth grows, and of themselves, and from the things they do not know. 36 And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; 37 And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And a token unto them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship, 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 and [that,] if such be Our will, We may cause them to drown, with none to respond to their cry for help: and [then] they cannot be saved, 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back). 45 and no message of their Sustainer's messages ever reaches them without their turning away from it. 46 When they are told to spend for the cause of God out of what He has provided for them for their sustenance, the disbelievers say to the believers, "Should we feed those whom God has decided to feed? You are in plain error." 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 The Truth is that they are waiting for nothing but a mighty Blast to seize them the while they are disputing (in their worldly affairs), 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
