Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
