The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 By the angels driving away. 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
