And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
