Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
