Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 Will have an easy reckoning, 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 he will pray for utter destruction 11 They will suffer the heat of hell fire. 12 Behold, [in his earthly life] he lived joyfully among people of his own kind 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 But he will indeed! His Lord was ever watching him. 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What is wrong with them that they do not believe? 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 (Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
